Healing your Life…

Repeat after me… I APPROVE OF MYSELF!

“Loving yourself makes you feel good and it is impossible to really love yourself unless you have self-approval and self-acceptance.” In the words of Louise Hay from her book, You Can heal your life. Part of self-acceptance is releasing other people’s opinions. Other people’s opinions can affect our thoughts of what we may think of ourselves.

I downloaded You Can Heal Your Life on my nook without having any expectations. I didn’t want to judge it and think it was just another blah blah blah motivational book by people who seem to have it put together but are complete hot messes in private. Louise talks about her struggle and how her journey to self-love has not been all that easy either. This book has helped me in ways I couldn’t imagine. Louise gives us affirmations to repeat to ourselves because if we plant an idea into our minds it will surely grow. This disadvantage to this book is if you are NOT ready to change don’t bother reading it.

This book will make you think and feel old emotions you may have bottled up. It brought out my resentments and hate I have for old friends that did me wrong. Family members I can’t stand to be around and all the things I hate about myself. But the beautiful thing I learned was to let it go. LET IT ALL GO! Many friends have told me lately I glow from how happy I am and that’s because I’ve let go. I’ve let go of the things that make me feel depressed and have held on dearly to the things I love.

“There is so much love in your heart that you could heal the entire planet. But just for now let use this love to heal you.”

Stay Golden!
